Lambda Magazine

About Lambda

LAMBDA is UNC-Chapel Hill's Lesbian-, Gay-, Bisexual-, Transgender-, Intersex- and Queer-affirming publication, providing a progressive outlet for news, analysis, opinion and dialogue. As such, we are inherently committed to a feminist, anti-racist and historically conscious perspective in pursuit of social justice for all people.

History

LAMBDA was first published in 1976 as the "voice of UNC's gay and lesbian community." It has always been a project of the main LGBTIQ student organization on campus. Currently, LAMBDA is a project of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender - Straight Alliance (GLBT-SA) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. LAMBDA is proud to be the nation's oldest student-run LGBTIQ publication, and we strive to be mindful of our rich history.
