Peer Support and Discussion Groups Q Group is a confidential support group that meets weekly to discuss all things quintessentially queer, questioning and quixotic. Q Group is co-facilitated and meets on Mondays in the LGBTQ Center. Trans Talk Tuesdays is a discussion and social networking group for people who identify as transgender, intersex, transperson, or genderqueer. The group meets every other Tuesday at Open Eye Cafe in Carrboro. Discussions focus on issues, experiences, and topics related to gender identity and gender expression. Please contact the LGBTQ Center (lgbtq@unc.edu or 919-843-5376) for information about any of the peer support and discussion groups or how you can participate in them. Drop-in Support Hours at the LGBTQ Center Drop-in Support Hours are weekly opportunities to have one-to-one, confidential conversations at the LGBTQ Center with counselors from Counseling and Wellness Services. The counselors are available to discuss issues of sexual orientation, gender identity, relationships and other areas where an individual may need personal support.
