I. New Business
A. New Meeting Schedule (Mondays @ 7pm Carmichael Fish Bowl, 1 HOUR)
B. We are part of MASALA---no representative chosen yet; Khia will find out more info about MASALA show
C. Community Service (high school) --- List was passed around, if you are interested contact Philip at psowers@email.unc.edu
D. Treehouse Party --- Andrew (Mocha) will speak to heads of different organizations about the party

E. 3-day Movie Night

--- House Party Movies, Wild Style added to list of movies
--- Feb 2nd-Feb. 6th are the proposed dates; Bianca working on finding a location

II. Miscellaneous
--- Khia passed out Soul Dojo fliers for members to put up…HHN receives $100 for putting them up so lets follow-thru on our end!

February 2, 2004
- Meetings will be held on MONDAYS @ 7PM in TEAGUE for the rest of the semester
- Next Saturday (Feb 14th) high school students (about 6) will meet at Ideas Coffee shop at the intersection of HWY 54 and 55 around 12:30 to talk and show their talents with all interested in going to support these kids
- 3-day Movie Night is coming up! February 24, 25 and 27th we will be showing Dead Presidents, Krush Groove, and Scarface. Food will hopefully be donated and a location is to be determined. This will cost $2/person
- Under the organization Electronic Music Symposium we will be having a Hip Hip Concert March 4th (Thurs). Kaze, Spectac, Sun (?) and other artists are being contacted. If you know anyone who will perform for free, tell them about the show. It will go from 7-11, as we have to have everything clean by midnight and will cost $3.
- Next week starting Feb 11th we will pit sit for the movie night and the concert as well as just overall publicity for the group
- In April CUAB will have a hip hop show and Jene’ is in charge of the mic battle. It will include students from UNC, Duke, Central and State. We will have shared profits and possibly Kaze will be host.
- Chuck D is next Thurs Feb 12th. If you would like to do a pre-event thing let Phil know by contacting him at psowers@email.unc.edu
- Instead of Treehouse we may use the Local 506 March 27th for a party. Details later…

- The March 4th concert is on! But we still need sound system equipment…If you know anyone who can provide this stuff for free let Phillip know
- Chuck D this Feb. 19th everyone go out and listen to his talk!
Details on Events page
- The Local 506 party, if we have it, will be mid to late April
- We will not perform in the MASALA show, we will just help out with it
- Last Tuesdays Talent show with Aisha will start next Tues.
- Paint the Cube for the Concert, 10 days before our event = February 23rd
- Instead of movie night we will try to put together an open mic battle, possibly in the new cabaret in the union. Terrance will look into when it will be open.
- The KKK rally protest will be happening this Saturday February 21st. Carpools will be leaving from the Campus Y and the ATM’s at 12 noon
