• Detailed to special investigative team chartered by Secretary of the Air Force to investigate sexual assault at the Air Force Academy—authored two major sections of report provided to Senate and House Armed Services Committees
• Led legal review of policies and practices of the Civil Air Patrol relating to counter-drug, homeland security, and other operational missions
• Served as legal counsel to military witnesses providing testimony to the 9/11 Commission

(Acquisition), 2000-03


• Served as lead attorney for the Air Force in over 100 bid protests (including seven hearings), successfully defending over $1 billion of Air Force procurements—eventually assumed oversight responsibility for defense of all protests of Air Force procurements
• Managed and coauthored litigation risk assessment of $300 million cost overrun on major international development contract involving NATO AWACS
• Provided primary legal counsel to independent review of $450 million procurement for contractor logistics support for the C-20 aircraft
