In the early Christian book The Acts of the Apostles, the disciples of Christ claim, "We cannot help but speak about what we have seen and heard!" (Acts 4:20) They claim to have seen God in the flesh and the resurrection of the dead. The Christian community wanted to share the immense love, compassion, and power of the Anointed One with the world. At first, many in the world hated them, and many Christians were killed. The hatred wasn't because Christians were legalistic and judgmental though. Rather, the 'little Christs' simply refused to worship the gods of their cultures. They followed only One.

How times have changed. Many people still hate Christians. However, today it is for very different reasons; they see Christians as judgmental and legalistic. Sadly, too often they're right. The holy Spirit foretold that demons would deceive Christian churches into teaching a way blocked with legalism, judgment, and burdens instead of teaching God's Way. This was prophesied in 1st Timothy chapter four. If you're interested, you can click here to read about a few of the ways I think that passage applies to the present time.
