My research is currently focused on three topics: the nature of figurative language, the folk concept of intentional action, and contextualism within epistemology and linguistics generally. I’m a methodological pluralist who believes discussions of philosophical topics can be fruitfully informed by empirical research within psychology, linguistics and the cognitive sciences.
