THE CSL, OR COMPUTERIZED SPEECH LAB, is a powerful
PC-based speech and signal processing workstation that contains a broad
range of voice analysis tools. This package is extensively used for speech
analysis in advanced research and in clinical settings. And we have one
right here at UNC for you to learn with.
The package consists of
an external module with four channel sound inputs for sampling and
analyzing various kinds of live or pre-recorded sound sources. This
module is connected to a source computer that is loaded with integrated
software enabling a number of analytical tools and processes.
To see a demonstration
of how to set-up the CSL for use with a client or how to record
a client's voice in the CSL program, press the appropriate button
on this home page.
To see a demonstration
of various kinds of analytical tools, press the button for that
tool or process.
