Teachers' Workshop on African American History and Culture

Carolina's Institute of African American Research invites are public school teachers to participate in a summer enrichment and professional development workshop on African American History and Culture and on issues of diversity. The workshop will be held in the Seminar room of Hyde Hall on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill. Fifteen Slots will be made available on a first come, first served basis. The workshop is free to selected participants. Online Registration deadline is June 16, 2008.
The Institute of African American Research is a center for the study of Black Life. Its central mission is to promote scholarly investigation of the history, social experiences, culture, and thought of people of African descent throughout the Disapora, with particular emphasis on Black Americans.
