NC Black Faculty Consortium
The Institute of African American Research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill cordially invites you to attend the 2006 North Carolina Black Faculty Consortium. The Consortium will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2006 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Sonja Haynes Stone Center for Black Culture and History located on the campus of Chapel Hill.
The Consortium is a networking initiative, which seeks to connect black faculty throughout the state and to provide a forum in which these scholars can exchange research ideas and share their experiences as professionals in the academy.
While scholars will present important research during the Consortium, the event will allow black faculty to socialize, on an informal basis, with minority peers whom they may not meet otherwise. To support that mission, we offer the Institute as a Consortium site to aid black faculty in coming together and developing joint projects.
The Consortium promises to be both enlightening and provocative. We look forward to a formidable meeting of scholarly minds. We hope that you will join us in this endeavor.
