A young man of
thirteen sought out the Lord’s help after years of disobeying hurt more
than
they helped. He soon realized that a commitment was in store for him.
Never
having been in a relationship with anyone, he was nervous. He had begun
to
partake in themes that invoked him to steal, such as card-playing and
sex. His
Mom had raised him with the right standards: no swearing, lying, or
stealing.
But still he chose to stray away from the path she encouraged him to
take. Then
after such great effort from his friend explaining the grand essence of
God, he
finally awoke. The dreams of dying and his spirit flying away to an
unknown
void were occurring too frequently for him. A change must occur, and
the best
vessel for such renovation is Jesus he realized. Upon such notice, he
stooped
onto both knees and cupped his hands together in utter praise to God.
The next
step, one that will never be forgotten, in telling Jesus he was a
sinner and
repenting brought a state of warmth on the verge of permanence. From
that day
forward, his life and the lives of those he encountered were in store
for great
works by Jesus Christ. This black young man, Linwaun Fulton, still
strives for
the same goal several years later: to bring others to the Lord to enjoy
the
fruit of salvation.
