Research Program:

The CCAT lab is actively involved in modeling and observational studies of physically driven processes in coastal and estuarine waters.  Research projects have included (i) development and applications of the irregular grid, finite element ADCIRC hydrodynamic and transport model for tides, storm surge, larval transport and sediment transport, (ii) observational studies of circulation, hydrography and water quality in the Neuse River Estuary including the development of an autonomous hydrographic and water quality profiling system and (iii) observational and modeling studies of physical processes occurring in the vicinity of a barrier island inlet.  Further information on CCAT research projects can be found below.
