Belk Track and Fetzer Field

Fetzer Field is located directly behind Carmichael Arena on South Road. It serves as the home of the Tar Heels for the men’s and women’s lacrosse teams and the men’s and women’s soccer teams. The Irwin Belk Track at Fetzer Field is the home of the men’s and women’s track and field teams. The facility’s recent renovations include a reworked field, new aluminum bleachers and lights, two ticket booths, a computer scoreboard and revamped concession areas. Fetzer Field now has a seating capacity of 5,025. The $1.6 million worth of renovations to Fetzer Field also included the installation of the new running track, throwing circles, and jumping and throwing runways.
