Interests:
Cell substrate interactions greatly affect cell morphology. I am investigating
the regulation and architecture of periodic, contractile actin waves that occur
in fibroblast and epithelial cells in the rounded state. These contractile waves
occur independently of substrate attachment, providing insight into the intrinsic
cell mechanics of motility.
