First Day - Monday, May 13th
12:00 - 3:00 pm Check into residence hall if you are living on campus
3:00 - 5:00 pm Optional information fair for Summer School in the Pit
6:00 pm Orientation session, Place TBD
Instructional Sessions
9:30 - 10:45 am Instructional Session I
10:45 - 11:15 am Break
11:15 - 12:30 pm Instructional Session II
12:30 - 4:00 pm Study time
4:00 - 5:00 pm Conversation Sessions
5:00 - 6:30 pm Cultural Sessions M-R
After 6:30 pm - Study time
**Weekends free but optional tutoring sessions could be provided for students who remain on campus
Evening Sessions
These activities are an integral part of the immersion process used to reinforce a total language-learning experience, similar to what a student would encounter in a Spanish-speaking environment. Examples: guest speakers; cooking lessons; dance lessons, films and documentaries; presentations on music, art, and architecture. Attendance is required as part of the immersion program.
