Matching Funds Program
Deadline: Ongoing
The Carolina Center for the Study of the Middle East and Muslim
Civilizations welcomes proposals from UNC units and organizations
seeking support for projects that increase awareness of the history
and culture of the Middle East and Muslim civilizations.
Funding for projects that meet this goal will not normally exceed
$200 and the amount of support the Center offers must be matched
by funds from at least one other unit on campus. To encourage interdisciplinary
work, preference is given to proposals that involve more than one
department or school. Also, we look favorably upon proposals that
engage faculty, students, and staff, and we discourage using funds
to purchase food.
In order to be considered for funding, proposals must:
- demonstrate a matching financial commitment from at least one
other unit on campus; and
- involve a project that is organized by a person or unit affiliated
with UNC.
There is no deadline for submitting a funding request.
If you are interested in seeking matching funds, please fill out
the Special Projects
Matching Fund form and return it to Peter Landstrom at CB#7582.
For more information, please contact him at 843-0129 or plandstr@email.unc.edu.
