Undergraduate

Middle East Studies Concentration: One of six area studies concentrations within the Curriculum in International and Area Studies.

Concentration in Arabic Cultures
Minor in Arabic
Minor in Hebrew
Minor in Hindi-Urdu

Department of Asian Studies

Jewish Studies Minor: An overview of the beliefs, culture, history, and religion of the Jewish peoples in interaction with surrounding cultures, from ancient times to the present.

Later Islamic Civilization and Modern Muslim Cultures: Survey course of Islamic civilization and culture from 1500 to the present. The course is cross-listed for Asian Studies, International and Area Studies, and Religious Studies. (ASIA 181 / INTS 137 / RELI 181)


Graduate

Islamic Studies: A subfield in the M.A./Ph.D. Religious Studies program. A global, interdisciplinary, and comparative approach to the study of Islamic religion and Muslim cultures.
