STUDENT GROUPS
Middle East Student Forum:
A student-led group that organizes monthly events to promote active
student discussion of the Middle East.
Arab Student
Organization: Provides the general public
with more information about the Arabic society by sponsoring activities
at the campus of UNC-CH.
Mosaic:
Dedicated to the awareness of contemporary issues in the academic field
of Islamic studies.
Muslim Students
Association: Provides means for Muslims
and non-Muslims to get to know one another, learn about Islam, and
serve the Chapel Hill community.
North Carolina Hillel:
Helps Jewish students enjoy Jewish life as an integrated part of their
college experience through a variety of social, cultural, political,
religious and educational programs.
Persian
Cultural Society: Seeks to promote a
better understanding of the Persian culture in the University and the
community.
Southeast Asia
Interest Association: Enhances understanding of issues
related to the Southeast Asian region and raises funds for humanitarian
and educational efforts.
Turkish
Student Association: Provides a forum for
understanding Turkey and Turkish culture through cultural events,
lecture series, and social programs in the Chapel Hill community.
