Minority Student Recruitment Committee
Students Make the Difference! | Get to know our student staff | Work Opportunities
Your collegiate educational experience should be more than just attending classes. Carolina is a microcosm of the multicultural society in which we live. Promoting diversity and inclusion is a significant objective for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs (DMA) and for the students who participate as members of the Minority Recruitment Committee (MSRC).
Partnerships with student organizations such as the Black Student Movement (BSM), the Carolina Indian Circle (CIC), Carolina Hispanic Association (CHispA), Student Government and various campus units and departments allow us to come together to coordinate and implement enriching academic, cultural, and social developmental programs to achieve our goal of an inclusive campus environment. We provide a wide range of programs and services including diversity seminars and workshops; support for student organizations; celebration of nationally recognized heritage months; leadership development; and resources for community enrichment.
Students interested in cultivating a culture of respect, understanding, and awareness are asked to join us for an MSRC information session with our Student Administrative Staff at the beginning of the fall semester.
Our programs will offer you the opportunity to:
- Develop leadership experience
- Encourage and mentor high school students to prepare for higher education
- Build your portfolio of work experience
- Be part of a group working together for a common goal
- Make a difference in someone’s life
