UNC to offer satellite voting site for Orange County residents
CHAPEL HILL – Orange County’s registered voters have an additional option for the upcoming primary and general election: The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will offer satellite voting at the Morehead Building.All Orange County residents, including students, may vote at the Morehead Building satellite site, located off Franklin Street. Following is the schedule:

Early voting: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 26 through 30 and Sept. 3 through 6, the Visitors’ Center video room (located on the west end of the building).·
Sept. 10 primary: 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., north parlor.·
General election: 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5, north parlor.
Dr. Steve Allred, associate provost at UNC, said university officials appreciated the support of the Orange County Board of Elections, particularly in helping to establish an early voter program on the UNC campus.
"The chancellor, the provost and the student body president have a strong shared commitment to making it easier for students and the larger community to vote. Working with the Orange County Board of Elections has been a pleasure. We are pleased to do whatever we can to increase voter turnout," he said.
