CHAPEL HILL – The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is closed today (Dec. 5.)

Classes for the fall semester concluded earlier this week. Today is a reading day for students in preparation for final examinations.

The university is operating under condition III in its list of adverse weather notices. That means weather conditions on campus and in the UNC employment area are extremely bad due to unusually large accumulations of snow, ice, sleet or freezing rain.
