2004 Morehead Scholarship winners to be announced to public March 5

CHAPEL HILL -- A release Tuesday (Dec. 16) about North Carolina semifinalists for 2004 Morehead Scholarships misstated the date that the winners will be announced to the public. The correct date is March 5. The news should be posted by 1 p.m. at www.unc.edu/news/.

Among the largest and most competitive scholarship programs in the United States, the Morehead pays all expenses for four years of undergraduate study at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, plus costs of four summer enrichment experiences. The Morehead is valued at approximately $72,000 for each in-state student and $120,000 for each out-of-state student.
