UNC-Chapel Hill offices open, classes cancelled; adverse weather policy in effect for employees
CHAPEL HILL - Campus offices will be open, but classes will be cancelled until noon on Monday (Feb. 17) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
University officials will make a decision by 10 a.m. Monday regarding the status of afternoon and evening classes.
Employees are reminded that the adverse weather policy is in effect. Employees also should use personal judgment in determining whether it is safe to report for work.
The university is operating under condition II in its list of adverse weather notices. That means the UNC campus and employment area has experienced large accumulations of snow, ice, sleet or freezing rain.
