Writer Kenan’s talk moved to Carroll Hall Auditorium
A free public lecture at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill by writer Randall Kenan has been moved to a new site, in Carroll Hall Auditorium. The talk, titled "Who Threw the Whiskey in the Well?: Lies in Non-Fiction, Truth in Fiction," is still set for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday (April 1).
Kenan, a UNC alumnus, is the 2002-2003 Lehman-Brady Distinguished Professor of Documentary Studies at Duke University and UNC. His first novel was "A Visitation of Spirits," published when Kenan was 26 years old. His "Let the Dead Bury the Dead" was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award.
The lecture is sponsored by UNC’s Center for the Study of the American South (962-5665) and American studies curriculum and Duke's Center for Documentary Studies.
