Incorrect date and place reported for Betty concert
CHAPEL HILL -- Because of a production error, News Services accidentally issued an outdated version of a news release about a concert by the group Betty. The version, No. 836 dated Nov. 11, reported the incorrect time, date and place for the concert.
The group will perform at 8 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 15) at the Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 4907 Garrett Road, Durham. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. The show will benefit the Sonja Haynes Stone Black Cultural Center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Tickets will cost $6 in advance or $8 at the door for UNC-CH students and $10 in advance, or $12 at the door, for others. Tickets are on sale at the black cultural center in the Frank Porter Graham Student Union; Internationalist Books, 405 W. Franklin St., Chapel Hill; Regulator Book Shop, 720 Ninth St., Durham; and Freedom Books and White Rabbit Books in Raleigh. Wheelchair patrons are welcome; sign language specialists will interpret.
To reach the concert from Chapel Hill, drive U.S. 15-501 toward Durham. Turn right onto Garrett Road at Darryl's 1890 Restaurant & Bar. The fellowship is .8 mile on the left.
