Kenan-Flagler to host memorial service for accounting professor Hoffman
CHAPEL HILL -- Friends, former students and colleagues of Dr. David E. Hoffman, professor of accounting, are invited to a memorial service hosted by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler Business School on Monday (Nov. 24) at 5:30 p.m.
The service, to be held in the Maurice J. Koury Auditorium of the school's McColl Building off Bowles Drive, will include remarks by faculty, staff, students and alumni whose lives were touched by Hoffman. Hoffman died Nov. 16 after suffering injuries in a fall.
During his 20 years at Kenan-Flagler, Hoffman taught students in the undergraduate and master's of accounting programs and public accounting firm executives enrolled in executive programs.
Hoffman's family has established a memorial fund in his memory. Funds will be used to benefit Kenan-Flagler students. Donations may be mailed to: David E. Hoffman Memorial Fund, Kenan-Flagler Business School, UNC-Chapel Hill, Campus Box 3490, McColl Building, Chapel Hill, NC 27599-3490.
Checks should be made payable to KFBS Foundation. Please note the donation is for the Hoffman Memorial Fund.
