Crimestoppers guarantees $500 reward in recent armed robbery case

CHAPEL HILL -- The Carrboro-Chapel Hill-UNC Crime Stoppers has guaranteed a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of two suspects in a case involving an armed robbery in a University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill residence hall.

Police ask citizens with information about the robbery to call either UNC police at 962-8100 or Carrboro-Chapel Hill-UNC Crime Stoppers at 942-7515. All conversations are confidential; no one must identify themselves or appear in court.

The reward is the latest development in the armed robbery case, reported Sept. 19 in Avery Residence Hall. No one was injured in the case.
