Greater Triangle residents invited to learn how area compares in civic knowledge

CHAPEL HILL --Join greater Triangle area residents, grassroots organizations and local leaders for an important dialogue on civic education and engagement at a Nov. 6 community forum. Organizers will discuss the recently released North Carolina Civic Index and develop community-specific strategies to improve civic education and participation in the greater Triangle area. Students from area junior high and high schools are encouraged to share their views about the importance of youth civic engagement.

The forum will take place at the Wake County Commons Building, off Poole Road, from 5:30 –8:30 p.m. The event will include a complimentary dinner and dessert reception.
