Cape Fear Community Forum to discuss the results of the NC Civic Index

FAYETTEVILLE -- Join Cape Fear residents, grassroots organizations, and local leaders for an important dialogue on civic education and engagement. Participants in an Oct. 2 community forum will discuss the recently released N.C. Civic Index and develop community-specific strategies to improve civic education and participation in the Cape Fear Region. Student participants are encouraged to attend this event and let their voices be heard on this important issue of youth civic engagement.

The forum will take place at the Public Works Commission Operation Center in Fayetteville at 6:15 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Directions are available online at http://www.civics.unc.edu/civicindex/fayetteville.htm. The forum is free and open to the public, but requires reservations before September 28.
