plan links public transit, homebuying
The Herald-Sun
An incentive plan that promotes public transit is offering a break to
Triangle residents looking to buy a new home. ... The program was unveiled
Thursday morning at UNC Chapel Hill, where it was trumpeted as
an attempt to increase the use of public transportation. "It wisely
links public transportation and the home-buying process," said
UNC Chancellor James Moeser.

Observer. Other North Carolina media covering the event at UNC
included WTVD-TV (ABC, Raleigh), WRAL-TV (CBS, Raleigh),

Raleigh). The university and Fannie Mae worked together to publicize

Lawmakers
want bill to control UNC enrollment

Two nearly identical bills introduced in the N.C. House this week would
place a cap on enrollment of non-resident students at public universities.
...This week, campus Chancellor James Moeser said he understood
the reasoning behind the two pieces of legislation. "Our preference
is for this to remain board policy," Moeser said.
