Sept. 18 is the deadline to apply for grants available through the University Research Council for initial pilot studies or small demonstration projects in the social and behavioral sciences that relate to the causes, prevention, early detection and control of cancer.
Among the areas of interest are social support, decision-making, survivorship and coping and theory-driven and methodological research at various stages of the lifespan.
Applications are limited to faculty and fellows (including postdoctoral fellows) in schools and departments within Academic Affairs. The maximum award will be $4,000. Funds may not be used to support ongoing research projects.
