Relaxation techniques part of self-help series


The Mindfulness-Based Stress and Pain Management Program is offering an 8-week training program in meditation, mind-body awareness exercises and other techniques for slowing down, setting priorities and staying calm, focused and relaxed in the midst of a busy life.

Classes will be held in the Neurosciences Hospital at the following times:

* Thursdays, 3- 5 p.m., from Sept. 21 to Nov. 9.

* Thursdays, 7-9 p.m., from Sept. 21 to Nov. 9.

* Fridays, 10 a.m.-noon, from Sept. 22 to Nov. 10.

All sessions will include a class on Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
