UNC HOMEPAGE
The University Libraries has completed three more sections of its "Documenting the American South" site on the World Wide Web. They are: "North American Slave Narratives, Beginnings to 1920;" "The Southern Homefront: 1861-1865;" and "The Church in the Southern Black Community: Beginnings to 1920."
The site features accounts of history written by people who lived it. Accompanying the 944 texts on the site are images of authors, title pages and covers, intended to give users a sense of handling old books and diaries.
The site is located at http://docsouth.unc.edu
