UNC-CH owned inn honored as historical site
Public announcement/ceremony
The Carolina Inn, 211 Pittsboro Street, Chapel Hill
Tuesday (Oct. 5) 3:45 p.m.
Officials from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and other local and state leaders will be on hand Tuesday (Oct. 5) for a public announcement about the Carolina Inn.
North Carolina Secretary of Cultural Resources Betty McCain, UNC-CH Chancellor William O. McCoy, Board of Trustees Chair Anne W. Cates, Carolina Inn General Manager Creston Woods are among those attending the 3:45 p.m. ceremony.
The inn, which is celebrating its 75th birthday, is a favorite gathering place for alumni returning to Chapel Hill for various events.
The ceremony will take place in the horseshoe area of the parking lot located off Pittsboro street.
Parking: There will limited parking for media representatives in the parking lot of the Carolina Inn.
