Major gift to be announced to Carolina and Duke; will create unique cooperative program

A prominent figure on Wall Street and his wife will announce a major multi-million-dollar gift to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University at a news conference Tuesday, June 13. The gift is expected to forge closer ties between the public and private universities.
The media session will be held at 11 a.m. in the Trinity A and B rooms of the University Club, located in Suite 1700 at 3100 Tower Boulevard. The club is located in the skyscraper across from South Square Mall in Durham.
In addition to the donors, participants will include Duke President Nannerl O. Keohane and Interim UNC Chancellor William O. McCoy.
