N.C. experts to announce plans for tapping into $40-$50 billion natural medicinal products market

Health, business and agricultural experts from across North Carolina will announce conclusions reached at a natural medicinal products summit as well as plans to help North Carolina tap into the $40 billion to $50 billion natural medicinal products market at a news briefing Monday, Sept. 30.
The briefing will begin at 2 p.m. in Wildflower Room B of the William and Ida Center for Continuing Education near the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill campus.
Dr. John B. Longenecker, director of UNC’s Institute of Nutrition, Dr. Lenore Arab, professor of epidemiology and nutrition at UNC, Jeanine Davis, an N.C. State University agricultural specialist, Dr. John Cardellina of the Washington, D.C.-based Council for Responsible Nutrition, and pharmacologists Joe and Terry Graedon will participate in the briefing.
The Friday center is located about a mile east of the main UNC campus off N.C. 54 highway.
