UNC study to reveal true dangers of being distracted behind the wheel

Results of a revealing study on driver distraction will be announced Wednesday (Aug. 6) at a news conference at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The briefing will begin at 10 a.m. in the Conference Room of the UNC Highway Safety Research Center at the Bolin Creek Center - 730 Airport Road, Suite 300.
Dr. Doug Robertson, center director, and Dr. Donald Reinfurt, research team member, will describe the findings and methodology of the study, which involved placing cameras within subjects' vehicles to record and capture distracted behavior.
Media representatives can park in the R7 parking lots located at 730 and 720 Airport Road at the Bolin Creek Center.
