WUNC-FM general manager invited to speak at FCC localism hearing
WUNC-FM General Manager Joan Siefert Rose is among those invited to speak at a Federal Communications Commission broadcast localism public hearing Wednesday (Oct. 22) at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center at 6 p.m.
The hearing, one of six being held by the FCC’s Localism Task Force, will gather information from consumers, industry, civic organizations and others on broadcasters’ service to their local communities. A link to the full FCC news release about the hearing is below.
Rose, who is scheduled to appear at 7 p.m., is the only N.C. public broadcasting representative invited to speak. She will be available to talk with interested reporters after the public hearing.
