Google Technology Director Craig Silverstein
to discuss organizing the world's information

Media representatives are invited to cover a panel discussion featuring Craig Silverstein, Google's technology director and first employee. Silverstein will address organizing the world's information and Google's vision for the 21st century.
Silverstein will focus on three key areas in search and information:
Silverstein will respond to questions after his presentation. People are invited to submit questions in advance at http://www.hsl.unc.edu/google/question.cfm.
More than 550 people have registered for free tickets to the event, offered at http://www.hsl.unc.edu/google. Because of early demand, all tickets for the main auditorium (500 seat capacity) in UNC's Medical Biomolecular Research Building have been allocated. Overflow seating in available; registration is also required for overflow seating.
Panel members from UNC-Chapel Hill include moderator Paul Jones, director of ibiblio.org and an associate professor in the schools of Journalism and Mass Communication and Information and Library Science; Carol Jenkins, director of the Health Sciences Library; Barbara Rimer, dean of the School of Public Health; Dr. Jose-Marie Griffiths, dean of the School of Information and Library Sciences; and Fred Stutzman, a UNC doctoral student in the School of Information and Library Sciences studying social networking.
