The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites media representatives to cover a visit by Chancellor James Moeser to Greensboro Monday (May 22).
Moeser will speak to the Crescent Rotary Club as part of his "Carolina Connects" initiative, launched in 2004. Since then, Moeser has visited each part of the state to highlight the many ways in which UNC-Chapel Hill serves North Carolina's people and communities.
Moeser will update the group on Carolina's progress overall, as well as outreach efforts including the statewide Citizen-Soldier Support Program for military families, in which UNC-Greensboro is one of several partners.
A question-and-answer session after the talk is expected to begin at about 1:15 p.m.
Crescent member Frank Rakestraw, who graduated from Carolina in 1966, invited Moeser to speak to the club. Founded in 1964 as the third of Greensboro's eight Rotary Clubs, Crescent has approximately 130 members. About 120 are expected Monday. Members include UNC-Greensboro Chancellor Pat Sullivan and Greensboro College President Craven Williams.
