Morehead-Cain Scholars for 2007
to be announced Friday (March 9)
Winners of this year’s Morehead-Cain Scholarships to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will be announced Friday (March 9).
The full, four-year merit awards include four summer enrichment experiences and a laptop computer for each student.
Just after noon on Friday, UNC News Services will send a news release to the Associated Press in Raleigh and post the release on News Services’ Web site: http://www.unc.edu/news/. Winners will be listed alphabetically by North Carolina county for in-state winners and by state and country for out-of-state winners.
News Services will then email the release to as many news outlets as possible in the home counties and cities of the winners. Winners’ photos will be on the Web for downloading, with Web addresses listed in the news release.
News editors and reporters with questions about the scholarship program may contact the Morehead-Cain Foundation at (919) 962-1201 or visit www.moreheadcain.org. After the release is posted, those with questions about distribution may contact L.J. Toler at News Services, (919) 962-8589.
