Ticket purchasing options announced
for new Carolina Performing Arts Series

CHAPEL HILL — The Carolina Performing Arts Series at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill will offer a number of ticket-purchasing options for the 2006-2007 season. The options and beginning sale dates will be:

Seven subscription series and tickets to several special events will go on sale Tuesday (March 21) for patrons renewing their 2005-2006 subscriptions. New subscriptions will go on sale on April 17.

Each series will consist of three performances; subscribing will afford patrons a 15 percent discount off single ticket prices. Patrons buying all seven series will receive a 25 percent discount off single ticket prices.

Events will be offered as single tickets only, but the tickets may be purchased before they go on sale to the public with subscription purchases.

A new option this season, Pick Six Tix, will go on sale May 1 to Carolina faculty and staff and June 1 to the public. Patrons may choose six different performances from any of the series or special events to receive a 10 percent discount off single ticket prices.

UNC-Chapel Hill faculty and staff may purchase series subscriptions at 20 percent off single ticket prices and Pick Six Tix at 15 percent off. They also are offered a single ticket pre-sale beginning May 1. To receive these discounts, faculty and staff must purchase their tickets in person at the Memorial Hall Box Office.

UNC-Chapel Hill students are offered single tickets for series events at $10 and subscriptions at $30. The Pick Six Tix option is not offered at the student ticket price. Students also are offered a single ticket pre-sale beginning May 1. To receive these discounts, students must purchase their tickets in person at the Memorial Hall Box Office.

March 21: Subscription renewals begin
April 13: Renewal deadline
April 17: New subscriptions available
May 1: Single tickets and Pick Six Tix Pre-Sale for UNC students, faculty and staff and series subscribers
June 1: Single tickets and Pick Six Tix on sale to the public
