Body found in Jordan Lake identified as missing UNC student

CHAPEL HILL -- University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill police have confirmed that the male body discovered near Jordan Lake Sunday afternoon (May 9) was 19-year-old Ziyun “Tim” Mao.

The death is being treated as an apparent suicide, according to police. The UNC junior was first reported missing May 4.
