The F.A.B.A. Conference
Our Mission Statement
For Africans, By Africans (F.A.B.A) is an intercollegiate community service project, geared towards fostering collaborative civic engagement projects that would benefit an African community. F.A.B.A is symbolic in itself because it calls attention to a deep truth: we as privileged African students have an undeniable responsibility to take a direct role in the reconstruction of our communities. This year, the F.A.B.A project will be focus on health care in Africa or the lack thereof. Participating ASU are asked to design a service project to present at the F.A.B.A Conference. The proposed project should be geared towards raising awareness about, fighting against a particular disease, and/or improving health care in Africa. After deliberating, members will collectively choose one project that F.A.B.A will support throughout the year through fundraising, community involvement, awareness raising and advocacy work.
