The Eighth Annual North Carolina Alliance to Create Opportunity through Education (NC OPT-ED) Alliance Day conference, scheduled for October 2, 2009 at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex Center is one of high  energy, outstanding workshops, reputable speakers and great participation from its Alliance members.  The theme “Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics:  Preparation for Excellence in the Global Economy” - reflects our Alliance’s recognition that the 21st Century world-class workforce must be prepared and trained to meet the needs of everyday citizens and the real-world economy.  This year, one of the primary focus areas of the conference is biotechnology and the career pathways that comprise its development, manufacturing and research. The 2008 NC OPT-ED Alliance Day conference held last fall in Greensboro, NC was attended by over 1000 participants, representing 33 colleges and universities, 3 community colleges, 81 high schools, and 25 middle schools.  With such high expectations, we strongly encourage and solicit your participation as a recruiter and/or exhibitor.  This is a great opportunity for undergraduate and graduate student recruiters to meet and greet some of North Carolina's finest students and to enter them into their Institution of higher learning.  Early submission of recruiter information is requested. 

 

Fee: Recruiter Registration Fee - $300.00 (check or credit card) 

Deadline: Recruiter registration deadline is August 31, 2009

Registration: Link will take you to an outside webpage managed by North Carolina A&T State University. You will be asked for general information and then you will be able to submit payment via credit card or you will be provided an address to mail payment.

Only upon completion of the online registration and payment receipt is your spot confirmed.

We will allow for recruiters to set-up between 7-10:30am. There will be two allotted times for students to speak with recruiters. The morning session will be 11am-12:30pm. We will break for the luncheon and keynote speaker, which all recruiters are invited to attend. Then the afternoon session will be 2pm-3:30pm.

A 6 ft. table will be provided in a designated area for recruiters, along with 2 chairs. Again, we will provide lunch to all recruiters at the luncheon.
