Call for Abstracts
Call for Abstracts is now open. Please be advised that all abstracts must be approved by your principal investigator or advisor. Thank you for your time and effort.
You are invited to participate in the 2010 Ninth Annual NC OPT-ED Alliance Day conference, Friday, November 12, 2010. High school, community college, undergraduate and graduate students have the opportunity to present their research in a nationally recognized National Science Foundation conference. Abstracts are open to all science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM); social, behavioral and economic sciences (SBE); and biotechnology disciplines.

The submission of Poster Abstracts that will be included in the Program Book is now closed. However, due to projected number of allocated spaces, there are still limited spaces for poster submissions. Please see below to submit Poster Abstract.
Oral Abstract Submission is now CLOSED, we have filled all of our slots for Oral Presentations.
Prospective oral and poster presenters are required to submit a short abstract of 300 words or less describing their research. Abstracts are to be submitted by clicking the appropriate link below. Abstracts will be printed as submitted, they will not be proofread. All abstracts must be approved by your principal investigator/research advisor.
Presentation
Poster: Maximum of 104 poster presentations. Once we have reached 104, the call for poster presentation abstracts will close. Posters must be capable of being mounted on the provided 4’(h) x 6’(w) cork board with the provided standard push pins only. We will not have tables to accommodate tri-fold standing posters. All posters must be mounted to a cork board. All posters must be set up by 10:00 AM. After 10:00 AM, your spot at the Poster Presentation will no longer be reserved, and may be taken by another student.
Oral: Maximum of 30 Oral Presentations. Once we have reached 30, the call for oral abstracts will close. Each oral session will include multiple presentations allotting a maximum of 10 minutes per presenter. Oral presentation rooms will be equipped with a laptop computer and LCD Projector for PowerPoint presentations. Laptops are equipped with USB Ports for USB drives and CD-ROM/DVD drives, but are not equipped with floppy or zip disk drives. Oral presenters are responsible for entering their presentation onto the laptops in a timely manner.

Abstract submission for a Poster Presentation that will not be included in the Program Book, but will still be space to present at Alliance Day 2010.
Abstract submission for an Oral Presentation - Oral Abstract Submission is now CLOSED, we have filled all of our slots for Oral Presentations.
All submissions, including abstracts, photos, oral and poster presentations, and any other materials will become available for use in any official NC OPT-ED activity.
