2012 Alliance Day
Sponsorship of the NC Alliance to Create Opportunity through Education
(NC OPT-ED) 2012 Alliance Day Conference
Your company/organization is cordially invited to be a sponsor of the NC OPT-ED Eleventh Annual Alliance Day Conference on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the North Carolina State University Jane S. McKimmon Conference Center, Raleigh, NC. The theme “Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM): Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders”- reflects our Alliance’s recognition that the 21st Century world-class workforce must be educated, innovative and creative in thinking and above all culturally challenge. This is the only Nationally Science Foundation conference in which students are from middle school, high school, community college, undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The focus is to promote and target STEM education among all students with special emphasis on those population groups who are underrepresented in these fields (i.e., African Americans, Hispanics, American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians or other Pacific Islanders).
Your sponsorship will do the following:
- Promote STEM education to rural and urban students across the state of North Carolina.
- Support the expense of food.
- Support the transportation needs and lodging of middle and high school students from across the state.
- Assist in paying rental fees, event supplies, travel and per diem for speakers.
- Provide hands-on STEM activities while introducing students to new and advanced educational STEM opportunities.
- Each Sponsor’s logo and hyperlink will be on the NC OPT-ED Website – http://www.unc.edu/opt-ed/ along with a sponsorship package that is customized to meet your specific marketing objectives.
The Alliance Day Conference is free to all attendees, and as such, your sponsorship is important to us.
We purposely left off the Sponsorship levels because we are grateful for whatever support you can provide to promote STEM education.
