Alliance Day

Each year, NC OPT-ED sponsors Alliance Day, an all day event joining students from all 11 institutions involved in the NC OPT-ED Alliance. Alliance Day showcases informative workshops, student presentations and a keynote address targeted to the unique needs of the underrepresented minority students in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields (STEM) and social, behavioral, and economic sciences (SBE) fields. There is no registration fee to attend the NC OPT-ED Alliance Day conference.  The event brings together students from all stages in their academic careers and provides pertinent knowledge to help each student progress to the next stage and ultimately enter the professoriate.
