Atlantic Coast Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences (AC-SBE) Alliance

The Atlantic Coast Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences (AC-SBE) Alliance is a formal network among The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Howard University, the University of Florida, the University of Maryland at College Park, and the University of Miami. Each institution has been awarded a grant of up to $300,000 from the National Science Foundation.

The AC-SBE alliance will work to increase the number of underrepresented minority Ph.D. recipients in SBE fields that will enter the professoriate.

A unique feature of the AC-SBE alliance is that four of the five schools are participants in the NSF-funded Alliance for Graduate Education for the Professoriate (AGEP) program.
