Preparing the Professoriate (PTP)

The PTP program gives faculty and doctoral students the opportunity to engage in a significant mentoring activity for an academic year. It is a central component of NCSU's attempt to enrich and improve the way in which graduate students are trained by providing students with hands-on teaching opportunities under distinguished faculty mentors who are recognized for their teaching skills.

Future Faculty Recruitment Program (FFRP)

FFRP invites outstanding advanced doctoral candidates and post docs from all over the country to NCSU to meet with faculty, deans and department heads who anticipate future vacancies.

Master's to Doctorate Bridging (MPhD)

The MPhD program offers incoming doctoral students with master's degrees an opportunity to research at NCSU under the supervision of faculty mentors during the summer before beginning their doctoral programs. Tuition for classes for the summer can also be covered, but only with the approval of the participants' faculty mentors.
