Applicants must have completed their junior year and taken at least two semesters of chemistry and two semesters of biology. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States.

Students selected to participate in this program will work either as a team of four or five individuals, consisting of two or three NSF-REU students and two Boston University scientists, or as one or two NSF-REU students and a single scientist.
